Squirdle is not just your ordinary guessing game; it's the Pokémon Wordle version that will put your knowledge of these pocket monsters to the test. This daily challenge game will present you with a unique puzzle every day, and your task is to correctly guess the hidden Pokémon character.

Features of Squirdle

Squirdle Filters

What sets Squirdle apart from other games is its intricate filtering system. These attribute filters enable you to search for Pokémon with pinpoint precision. Let's delve into the syntax:

  • attr:X: Show only Pokémon with the attribute exactly equal to X.
  • attr!X: Show only Pokémon with an attribute of any value BUT X.
  • attr>X: Show only Pokémon with an attribute higher than X.
  • attr<X: Show only Pokémon with an attribute lower than X.

Attributes

The following attribute filters are at your disposal:

  • gen: The generation of the Pokémon.
  • type1: The primary type of the Pokémon.
  • type2: The secondary type of the Pokémon.
  • type: Either the primary or secondary type of the Pokémon.
  • height: The height of the Pokémon.
  • weight: The weight of the Pokémon.

Examples

Here are some illustrative examples of how you can use the filters:

  • Show only Pokémon from generation 4: gen:4
  • Show Pokémon NOT from generation 4 with type1 of fire: gen!4 type1:fire
  • Show Pokémon from generation 4 with type1 of fire and height less than 0.9: gen:4 type1:fire height<0.9
  • Show Pokémon from generation 4 with height between 0.7 and 0.9: gen:4 height>0.7 height<0.9

How to Play Squirdle

In Squirdle, you'll embark on a unique Pokémon guessing adventure. Unlike other games, you won't be guessing the number of letters in a Pokémon's name. Instead, your task is to guess the Pokémon based on five criteria: Generation, Type 1, Type 2, Height, and Weight. PokéBall icons will provide feedback, indicating if your guess is too high, too low, or just right. If you mix up Type 1 and Type 2, a side arrow on the PokéBall icon will guide you.

The generation box turns green if you've guessed the right generation but the wrong Pokémon. For height and weight, up and down arrows show whether your guess is too high or too low. Elemental Types come with their own set of rules. Green means you got it right, yellow means you correctly guessed one of two categories (e.g., you guessed Water, and it's Water/Flying), and red indicates you've missed both.

With nearly 900 Pokémon to choose from, it can be quite challenging if you're not well-versed in the Pokémon world. However, for those who are familiar with Generation 1, there's a Gen 1 Only mode that limits the game to Pokémon from the Red, Blue, and Yellow versions.

Squirdle is not restricted to daily play; you can enjoy it as often as you'd like. But if you're seeking a daily challenge, it's available as well.

If you're a Pokémon enthusiast, Squirdle is the perfect game to put your knowledge to the test. Challenge your friends and see who truly knows their pocket creatures. If Pokémon-themed games aren't your cup of tea, there are various Wordle clones to explore, each with its own unique twist. Whether you're up for absurd words or want to solve sweary puzzles, the world of word games has something for everyone. Enjoy your Squirdle adventure!
